I kept seeing an ad for them pop up on my FB feed so we decided to try them. We went through the drive thru around 5 in the evening and by then they were out of the beef brisket and a few other selections of meat. My son ordered the 2 meat combo with pulled chicken and pulled pork. He wanted blueberry cobbler as a side but they were out of that too so he got the apple cobbler instead. He chose baked beans as his other side. I got a loaded baked potato with pulled pork with everything on it. I also got a sausage sandwich with coleslaw on top with sauce number 5 for both.
The lady at the window was nice and the service was fast. Luckily, we drove over to the antique mall to eat and noticed that my sausage sandwich did not have the coleslaw on it. It would have been awful to have driven home to find this out since they are on the arse end of town. My son loved his meal and it had generous portions of everything. My potato was humongous. I can not stress this enough. It was gigantic! It was delicious and was over filled with all the toppings and pork. The potato skin had a yummy salt on it too which added to the goodness. The potato is a meal in itself and no other dish would be needed to fill you up. If I had known it was so big I would not have ordered the sandwich.
We went back to the drive thru and the lady was not so nice this time. She seemed upset about the coleslaw situation. I showed her the receipt and that I asked for it but did not receive it and she begrudgingly made the order correct.
All in all a great meal and will be coming back.

To carry the name "whole hog cafe," the location on Burrough street needs to improve its overall consistency on the quality of food.

It could be due to its location but you won't have a wait when you arrive and they offer the traditional staples you would find at any BBQ joint.

I've had whole hog a few times (Burrough, Little Rock, Fayetteville) but the quality of food that you get at Burrough is hit or miss - mainly on the miss.

My recommendation is that you stick to the pulled pork.  I did make a mistake of ordering smoked chicken, but that was DRIED as any piece of protein can be.

If you do decide to come to the Burrough location, stick to what they should be good at.  But if you carry the name "whole hog" be consistent and be good at what you're supposed to be good at.

Avoid this place! I know restaurants have bugs, it's part of having paper products brought in. It all about how you deal with a customer tell you there's roaches on the table!
When letting the cashier know they were too high or drunk to care. The cashier with long, black wavy hair was about to pass out, he couldn't keep his eyes open. He was mumbling something, that wasn't understood. I even asked what he said and again another mumble. The taller cashier responded, yep we know.

We left our food on the table and walked out. This will be a place we void going to again. Mind you we spent over $40 on our meal.

Do NOT get the BBQ Nachos. It's listed as a "specialty" and I had recently tried them at a BBQ place in Memphis (it was amazing!) So I decided to order it here. First, they gave me brisket even though I asked for pulled pork. Then, the amount of meat was pathetic and the cheese appeared to be velveeta. The "plates" are a MUCH better value.

Also, one time I went here around 7 o'clock and they were closed due to "labor." I guess they didn't have enough people to serve food? Was very disappointing. I will be checking out other BBQ places in the area.

I got there late, so this review isn't perfect. The only meat they had left was pulled pork and chicken. That tells me the meat is fresh every day. However, it's probably not their best meat. I asked what made them famous but the sleazy-looking waitress (cleavage and underwear hanging out - not hot when you're handling my food unless it's Hooters) didn't have enough brain cells to answer that question. I'm not sure how well she understood English despite being from this country. So yeah, I got the short end of the customer service stick, but at least she was friendly in her inability to process my speech.
On to the food. The tea is sweet and the sauces are bangin'. I used the Volcano sauce liberally, and it had a nice hot kick to it. It's like Sauce #3 on steroids. #5 was also very nice, a richer and more flavorful version of #1. Give #4 and #6 a pass unless you're from the Carolinas. The meat was eh. I could not figure out which meat was chicken and which was pork. Those would not normally be my choices anyway so I'm not going to be as harsh about it.
Interestingly, dessert counts as a side. I ended up with three sides: potato salad, cole slaw, and blackberry cobbler. The cobbler was heated in its own dish, but served at the same time as the meal. Then again, it was closing time, so that might have been unusual. It did stay hot and it was truly delicious. The cole slaw is recommendable. The potato salad is unique here. At first it tasted way too creamy, but it started growing on me as I plowed through it. Then I noticed small bits of meat, either ham or bacon. By the end I was totally loving it. Check it out and see for yourself.
A great stop if you show up when they still have all their meats. Ask for someone with all of their clothing on.
